A project is a commitment, limited in time, consisting of a plan of activities carried out and managed to create a product, provide a service, obtain a business result, reach objectives and satisfy predetermined completion criteria, within time constraints, costs and resources. Reporting directly to the top management or management figures of reference, PGMD covers the role of coordinator, tester and facilitator in the design, implementation, and production of information systems, identifying, among other things, any revisions and streamlining of processes and infrastructures. PGMD accompanies its customers in both individual project management and change management activities, including managing a project portfolio with the role of PMO.
The PGMD approach to the Digital Transformation of Clinical Processes is pragmatically inspired by modern “agile” methods that allow faster implementation of solutions and prototypes, which simplify the dialogue with the clinical-health client, less accustomed to managing IT projects, and greater involvement of the end-user both in the search for solutions to problems and in subsequent experimentation. Many years of experience have convinced us that the implementation of a digital organizational model requires the re-engineering of processes to avoid the mere transposition of the paper on the IT tool.
Based on this assumption, the approach adopted aims at achieving the objectives of the project through the application of the following principles:
- • Decreasing the clinical and operational risk of avoiding not carrying out the activities in the manner and within the times as defined in the protocols
- • Optimizing the interaction with the system
- • Increasing effectiveness and decreasing the time required for the proper performance of clinical, health and care activities
- • Guaranteeing the quality of the data collected
